Today was the last straw for me at my job. One of my close co-workers got fired.
If that wasn't bad enough, my boss felt the need to call the rest of us into his office and threaten that if we made any mistakes like my co-worker did, we could get fired, too. He acted so arrogant and tough because he fired her and made us feel like one wrong move and we'd be asked to leave as well.
I am so beyond mad right now. I can't deal with that kind of boss. One who thinks he knows it all, does it best and his crap doesn't stink. One who doesn't even have a high school diploma, so he doesn't see the value of me going back to school. One who says he supports us and has our back but then complains that he gets the calls from the dealers and has to defend us.
I am officially on the job hunt, so if you hear of any jobs in the Twin Cities in marketing, communications, event planning, advertising, etc. please let me know!

I can't understand a boss that doesn't see the value in continued education. Sounds like you are going to be much better off elsewhere. Good luck with the job hunting :)
oh wow... that really sucks M. what an ass! Personally- I've had to fire people before and I dont see how you can feel good about that no matter how much the person did or didn't deserve it. So if he felt all powerful from that? Lame. Sorry you have a sucky boss. And um- doesn't have a HS diploma? wtf.

OMG you need to get out of there and ASAP! I wish we were hiring @ my Company, but we kind of have a hiring frezze. I'll let you know if I hear of anything @ other companies.
