Wow, it's been over a month since I've blogged last. Bad blogger I am. I've been so busy lately with grad school, planning the wedding, work and life in general that I really have not thought to take the time to blog. Things are going really well though.
I'm almost done with my first semester of grad school! It's been great to flex my brain a little and start using it for something other than figuring out who will be voted off Survivor next. I'm taking one class this summer that will finish mid-July and then plan to take the rest of the summer to get most of the wedding details out of the way before starting up again in September. I'm also just taking one class in the fall because I don't want to be too overwhelmed with school during the last few months before we get married.
Now that it's spring it's biking season again! Tall Guy and I have gone out a few times since the weather has been beautiful around here lately. I love that we have an activity that we love doing together. Plus, it's a great workout!
Wedding planning has moved quickly and steadily since we only have about 6.5 months left to go. We have all the major stuff booked--ceremony/reception location, photographer, florist, DJ, photobooth, officiant--and we have all the guys' suits ordered and my dress ordered. Bridesmaid dresses will be ordered in the next month or so. I think we're in pretty good shape! It's a little stressful to think of the things we still need to do, especially the DIY stuff, but I know we'll get it done.
To add to all that excitement, we are also going to be moving into a bigger apartment sometime this summer (just to the one below our current place) and I have to study for the GRE because I'm taking it on June 26! Plus, my BFF is getting married on June 12 and I'm the Maid of Honor. Throw in an out of state wedding, bridal showers and bachelorette parties and other life events and I'd say we have a pretty busy 6 months ahead of us!
But I'm so happy right now. I love being busy and having stuff going on and homework and wedding planning all on top of each other. It's a crazy time, but it's great!
